Dear Parents,

Thank you so much for attending our Parent-Teacher’s Conference this week. It was wonderful  to have the opportunity to talk about your child’s progress in school. Your time was really appreciated.

We had fun listening to Show-and-Tell all week. The students were very excited, and well-prepared for their topics. Thank you for your support on this. Remember, our goal is to build  their confidence and give the students the opportunity to share amongst themselves.

In our Literacy block we read two stories, The Trip & At the Aquarium.  The students enjoyed reading about Mice going on a trip and then students visiting an Aquarium in real life.  They got to learn  fun facts about fish, their habitat and what they eat.
The students are able to read the stories aloud , and respond to them by answering the response questions orally.  For Grammar we reviewed Nouns and pronouns. We also did some chapter review on Sentences and Synonyms.

In Math we finished Topic 7.  We did addition to 12, subtraction, Pictures & Number Sentences, Topic review, Multiple Choice Test and Quiz.

We had our Science quiz on Chapter 2, Animals. The students were able to explain A Life Cycle, Name the different groups of Animals, and Match Animals to their groups. We will start Chapter 3 on PEOPLE, this coming week.

In Social Studies we learned about  how people use Resources.  The children completed a worksheet on different resources such as soil, fuel, trees, air and water, and explained, via drawings, how we can can take care of our resources.  We have talked about recycling, and how to take care of our surroundings.

We finished our Kandinsky Fall Trees. They are gorgeous! The students chose three different colors to create their leaves.  We love doing art!

Have a wonderful weekend with your family! Thank you for your support!
