Spring Break 3/31

Dear Parents,

International World EXPO was a huge success and the students contributed both academically and through showing outstanding behavior. Thank you for joining our presentations and encouraging your children to perform to the best of their abilities.

Literacy
We reviewed the last story; “If You Give A Pig A Pancake”. We did also did some Journal writing, “ Sometimes I wish …”

Math
We started Topic 15, “Time”. We have learned how to tell time to the hour and half hour. The students got to know the difference between the hour hands and the minute hands. We also wrote time on face clocks and digital clocks.

Social Studies
We did our final preparations for International Week. Each student prepared a presentation on a different aspect of Madagascar such as plants or animals, as well as other fun and interesting facts we discovered.

Science
We did a science experiment on dyed celery. The students went through the scientific process of making a prediction, observation and conclusion.

Thank you  for praising your child for all the hard work they put into learning and school activities. They are truly amazing.

Have a wonderful and safe Spring Break.

Mrs. Slabbert
